91+ Points - Antonio Galloni's Vinous:
"Deep red-ruby. Red cherry, dark plum, spices and earth on the nose, complicated by grilled herbs and flint. Plush, sexy and deep, delivering layered flavors of strawberry, licorice, and dried flowers. This broad wine offers an exciting combination of size and fresh acidity. The very long, savory finish features youthfully dusty but ripe tannins." - Ian D'Agata (Mar 2018)

93+ Points - Antonio Galloni's Vinous:
"Fully saturated deep ruby. Leafy nuances and notes of sassafras dominate the deep but youthfully reticent dark red fruit on the nose. Then smooth and dense, with forward flavors of red cherry, dark plum, cassis, and aromatic herbs. Finishes very long and spicy, with peppery tannins and building complexity. For maximum enjoyment, put this away in the cellar and open it in three to four years only. This is a blend of Carignano, Merlot, and Cabernet Sauvignon." - Ian D'Agata (Oct 2016)

94 Points - Antonio Galloni's Vinous Media:
"Fully saturated ruby-red. Expansive, highly perfumed scents of raspberry, cherry-cola, sweet pipe tobacco and potpourri, lifted by bright spice and mineral notes. Palate-staining flavors of red cherry, grilled herbs and exotic spices are complemented by delicate smoky minerality. Finishes extremely suave, with lingering sweetness and outstanding length. I don’t think I have had too many young Terre Brune vintages better than this one." -- Ian D'Agata (Jan 2016)

92 Points - Robert Parker's Wine Advocate (2011 vintage):
"Bigger and richer, with more black fruits, ground pepper, forest floor and resinous scrub brush, the 2011 Coteaux du Languedoc Terrasses du Larzac Les Obriers (65% Cinsault, 35% Carignan) is medium-bodied, layered and textured on the palate, with a terrific finish. Drink it over the coming 4-6 years." - Jeb Dunnuck (Apr 2014)

91 Points - Robert Parker's Wine Advocate (2007 vintage):
"The 2007 Shardana comes across as quite rustic in this vintage. It is a big, powerful wine loaded with dark fruit, earthiness, licorice, tar, smoke and hints of brett. Plenty of rough edges remain, distancing the 2007 from the finer vintages that have been made here. Shardana is 85% Carignano and 15% Syrah aged in French oak. Anticipated maturity: 2012-2017." - Antonio Galloni (6/2011)

91 Points - Robert Parker's Wine Advocate:
"The 2009 Gran Muralles is a blend of Garnacha, Mazuelo, Monastrell and Garro from 30- to 35-year-old vines in Conca de Barbera. It is aged 18 months in French oak. It has a lifted, glossy bouquet with succulent dark cherries, iodine and blueberry. The palate is medium-bodied with fine tannins; the new oak is well-integrated with dark toasty black, citric fruit towards the tannic finish, which displays graphite on the aftertaste. It is almost impenetrable at present and should be given three of four years to soften. Drink 2015-2025." - Neal Martin (April 2012)

Grenache in harmonious association with Syrah and Cabernet Sauvignon. Attractive ripeness.
This cuvee owes its name to the traditional grape varieties of Provence: Grenache, Carignan, Cinsault… Wines that wont join our premium wines, will be blended in this cuvee after a second, thorough full tasting.

Nowadays, Carignan has been replaced by Cabernet Sauvignon, that gives birth to the characteristic bouquet of typical Mediterranean herbs in association with traditional grape varieties.
Excellent, lightly structured table wine of great popularity.

Wine Spectator:
"This is ripe, defined and racy, with delicious linzer torte, plum sauce and bitter cherry notes gently framed by toasty spice and carried by a racy graphite edge through the finish. Drink now through 2014. 4,000 cases imported." –JM (Aug 31, 2012)

Wine Enthusiast:
"Different in style from many Costières de Nîmes, this is exceptionally spicy, with clove and cinnamon notes that play a dominant role in the wine’s flavor profile, gently rolling over the brown sugar and sour plum elements. The blend is Carignan, Mourvèdre, Cinsault, Grenache and Syrah. Drink now–2015." -Joe Czerwinski (12/15/2011)
