Billecart-Salmon Vintage Extra Brut Grand Cru Champagne 2006 (Champagne, France) - [WE 94] [JS 93] [WS 92]
Billecart-Salmon Vintage Extra Brut Grand Cru Champagne 2006 (Champagne, France) - [WE 94] [JS 93] [WS 92]
Retail Price: $90.00

94 Points - Wine Enthusiast Magazine:
"Billecart-Salmon's style is dry, so an Extra Brut will be almost bone-dry. This wine is crisp and tight, bringing out grapefruit and citrus flavors and a steely, mineral character. It is still young, with freshness dominant, and needs to mature to blossom into a very fine Champagne. Drink from 2018." - Roger Voss (12/1/2015)

95 Points - James Suckling:
"Brambleberries, licorice, dried blueberries, cedar, tobacco, smoke, vanilla, dried citrus and even a hint of grapefruit. The lazer-sharp acidity evinces a real sense of purity, and the tannins are really edgy and structured. Full-bodied but very elegant and stylish. The finish goes on and on, thanks to the shimmering acidity. Beautiful now, but better in 2024." - 1 Jul, 2019

90 Points - Robert Parker's Wine Advocate:
"The 2005 La Plazuela is a blend of 80% Cencibel (Tempranillo) and 20% Garnacha. The Cencibel vines range in age from 90 to 105 years. Deep garnet-colored, it offers up an excellent nose of toasty oak, pencil lead, and blackberry. A bit firm and compact on the palate, it has plenty of spicy fruit, good concentration, and a lengthy finish. Another 2-3 years of cellaring may round it out in which case my rating will appear stingy."

Robert Parker's Wine Advocate (2015 Vintage):
"The 2015 Petit Chablis, which spent a reduced period of four months on the lees, has an impressive chalky bouquet with pleasing flint/smoke notes emerging with time in the glass. The palate is fresh on the entry with citrus lemon, a touch of hazelnut and a nice bitter lemon note on the finish. Enjoy this over the next 3-4 years." - Neal Martin (30th Aug 2016)
