92 Points & #38 Top 100 of 2017 - Wine Spectator Magazine:
"A beam of bracing acidity at the core of this intense, saturated red helps delineate the blackberry, boysenberry, blueberry and graphite flavors. This has grip and complexity, but just needs a little time. Best from 2018 through 2024. 9,000 cases made." – BS (Jul 31, 2017)

Givry, in the midst of the Cote Chalonnaise, tends to be overlooked even amid neighboring communes like Mercurey. But Pascal Danjean's stand for quality here is evident in the 2010s, and worth watching. Subtle, pure and less dramatic than its counterpart La Plante ($32, 13%), with white flowers, cassia, bright Bing cherry and a remarkable finesse to the tannins.

"Attractive red berries, nectarines and biscuity notes with a hint of spice, too, and a sweet-smelling freshness to it. The palate delivers a very attractive and concentrated array of yellow stone fruit flavors. Smooth and creamy, sorbet-like finish. Drink now or age." - (October 4, 2017)

97+ Points - Robert Parker's Wine Advocate:
"Deep garnet-purple colored, the 2014 Run Rig opens with a bang, delivering intense fruits of the forest and blackberry preserve notes with hints of sandalwood, cardamom, dried Provence herbs, Indian spices and garrigue. Full-bodied, rich, concentrated and oh, so satisfying, the beauty ticks all the great Barossa Shiraz boxes and then some. It is still relatively primary, so I’d recommend giving it another 2-3 years at least in bottle and drink it over the next 20+." - Lisa Perrotti-Brown (31st Aug 2017)
