Tasting Notes:
This naturally cloudy amber Hefeweissbier has a firm, creamy head and reveals fragrances of peach, apricot and citrus on the nose. The initial impression on the palate is of a bouquet of aromas, including subtle touches of banana plus refreshing grapefruit from the American Chinook hops. The fruity peach and apricot notes from the Amarillo hops are balanced by the gentle sweetness of the caramel malt. The beer has a delicate tartness that melds into a harmonious mouthfeel on the finish.

The union of wheaty freshness and dark malt often produces a fullness of taste and complexity”, explains the world-famous English beer commentator Michael Jackson. This also applies to the Ayinger Urweisse, which is a strong amber-colored, yeast cloudy wheat beer. The beer is strong with the first taste and malty in aroma. The top-fermented, yeasty taste sensation is unmistakable. This beer is rich in sparkle and has just a touch of a special bitter quality. The fruity, malty mild aroma will have you won you over immediately!

2008 WORLD BEER CUP BRONZE MEDAL

Dark-ruby, almost black-colored and streaked with fine top-fermenting yeast, this beer has a compact and persistent head. This is a very intense wheat doppelbock with a complex spicy chocolate-like aroma with a hint of banana and raisins. On the palate, you experience a soft touch and on the tongue it is very rich and complex, though fresh with a hint of caramel. It finishes in a rich soft and lightly bitter impression.

Weihenstephan Hefe Weissbier-smooth malt background, rich yeast flavors, spicy, with fruity banana overtones. Reminiscent of clove.

Nothing refreshes you more than this naturally cloudy wheat beer with its wonderful yeasty fragrance and taste. Goes well with dishes that do not have too intensive a flavour, especially that Bavarian speciality 'Weisswurst' or white sausage.

The limited special wheat beer edition is a tribute to the former head of the brewery, Mathilde Schneider who presented Bavaria’s first wheat doppelbock in 1907.

The specialty wheat beer brewery from Kelheim continues the tradition in the pioneering spirit of Mathilde Schneider and uses a new variety of hops which was grown in small quantities for this special edition 2015. The result is a sparkling summer wheat beer, spicy and nutty, with a refresh

Five beer enthusiasts with a common passion for historic brewing came together to create this distinct Polish beer style in the most authentic way possible. It is brewed by Jopen and Monarchy of Musselland together with the beer writers Ron Pattinson and Evan Rail. Grodziskie is brewed with 100% oak-smoked wheat malt to a gravity of 7.7 degrees Plato. It is bittered with Lublin hops and fermented with the original yeast from the now defunct Grodzisk Wielkopolski brewery who once produced this style.

As the town of Grodzisk once and again today belongs to Poland, but was formerly part of Prussia, there are two different names for the style: Grodziskie and Grätzer. Our research found that brewers also formerly used willow bark in brewing which we thought was an interesting variation. That is why the brewery offers two different takes on the style: a classic version bearing the name "Grätzer" and a willow bark version called "Grodziskie".
