88-91 Points - Allen Meadows' Burghound:
"A perfumed nose consists of spiced plum, violet and a hint of sandalwood. There is more volume if less minerality to the richer and slightly more voluminous flavors that possess a velvety mid-palate though there is trace of rusticity that can be found on the firm and lingering finale. This should also drink reasonably well young if that's your preference." - (Jan 15, 2018)

92 Points - Allen Meadows' Burghound:
"This is quite ripe though it stops short of being surmature with its nose of plum liqueur, mocha, black cherry and earth aromas. There is exceptionally good richness to the very suave and succulent medium weight flavors that are supported by phenolically mature tannins on the mouth coating finish. This is a big and overtly powerful wine yet it's not especially rustic or austere." (Apr 15, 2015)

91 Points - Allen Meadows' Burghound:
"Here the nose offers a notable step up in aromatic refinement with its cool and airy yet notably serious mix of various red berries, earth, tea and floral nuances. There is fine volume and excellent richness to the mouth coating and relatively powerful medium-bodied flavors that culminate in a dusty, persistent and mildly austere finale that is more structured still. The tannins are dense but fine and this should amply reward 10 to 15 years of cellaring." - (Apr 15, 2016)

90 Points - Stephen Tanzer:
“Pale yellow. Aromas of lemon drop, pear and minerals show a strong overlay of oak char. Broad, tactile and nicely filled in, offering good intensity to its lemon, spicy oak and crushed stone flavors. At once juicy and rich, this wine finishes with very good spicy persistence and subtle stony minerality. Deeper and more vibrant than the Baudines, with more material to buffer its alcohol. And firmer on the back end.” (Sep 2017)

93 Points & Cellar Selection - Wine Enthusiast Magazine (2014 Vintage):
"The wine comes from a parcel that is less than an acre. Vines aged for 45 years on average have created a structured, concentrated wine with powerful tannins and dark, black fruits. It is a wine for serious aging, It's unlikely to be ready before 2020." - Roger Voss (12/31/2016)

94+ Points - Stephen Tanzer:
"Pale, green-tinged yellow. Captivating but youthfully reticent scents and flavors of citrus peel, white pepper, fresh herbs, crushed stone and white flowers, plus a whiff of rhubarb. Quite broad and full but not at all heavy in the mouth. This wine doesn't have the acid edge of the Bougros Côte Bouguerots but is wonderfully silky and horizontal, coating every square millimeter of the palate--and it's hardly short of energy! Most impressive today on the superb dusty, mounting finish. This potentially outstanding wine still needs time to gain in complexity but it should evolve positively in bottle for many years. Production here was cut by the pre-harvest hailstorm, but if this fruit was picked earlier than originally forecasted, it does not seem to have suffered for it." - Stephen Tanzer (Aug 2017)

94 Points - Stephen Tanzer:
"Pale, bright yellow. More feminine on the nose than the Valmur, offering aromas of citrus fruits, pear and white flowers plus a soupçon of oak spice. Very silky, seamless and refined but also shows terrific intensity and floral lift. Harmonious acidity leavens the density of this wine, giving it an almost weightless impression in the mouth. Perfectly integrated and balanced from the start. The impressively long, rising finish features piquant notes of citrus peel, minerals and flowers. I'd give this fine-grained beauty a good five years in the cellar before pulling the cork." - Stephen Tanzer (Aug 2017)
