Allen Meadows' Burghound:
"A fresh, cool and restrained nose only grudgingly gives up its aromas of dark berries and earthy red currant. The absence of any punching down is evident as the lighter weight flavors are really quite fine though the finish is moderately austere and slightly edgy. I suspect that the fining will help this significantly but that of course is yet to be seen." - (Jan 15, 2016)

91-93 Points - Antonio Gallonis Vinous:
"Clear medium red. Reticent aromas of cherry, berries and minerals. Fleshy and creamy-sweet in the manner of the better 2014s but with sound acidity giving the red fruit flavors a juicy quality and noteworthy finesse. This concentrated, fine-grained wine boasts lovely subtle sweetness and a long, building finish."Never a powerful style," notes Boillot." - Stephen Tanzer (Jan 2016)

Antonio Galloni's Vinous (2015 Vintage):
"Bright orange-pink. Ripe red berries, tangerine and white pepper on the pungent nose. Juicy and broad on the palate, offering warm raspberry and cherry flavors that tighten up on the back half. Shows good power and a hint of warmth on the finish, which lingers with repeating pepperiness and decent persistence." - Josh Raynolds (Jun 2016)

95+ Points - Antonio Galloni's Vinous:
"A new wine from Conterno-Fantino, the 2013 Barolo Castelletto Vigna Pressenda, is fabulous. Dark red cherry, plum, rose petal, mint and sage are beautifully delineated in this vibrant, super-expressive Barolo. Striking in its aromatics and overall intensity, the 2013 has it all. The new Castelletto is a total knock-out from Conterno-Fantino. Don't miss it!" - Antonio Galloni (Feb 2017)

"Ripe fruit with orange-peel, walnut and ripe-strawberry aromas. Full body, ultra-fine and long tannins and a finish that lasts for minutes. Wow. Gorgeous. Better in 2021 but who can wait?" - ( July 11, 2017)
