"A beam of bracing acidity at the core of this intense, saturated red helps delineate the blackberry, boysenberry, blueberry and graphite flavors. This has grip and complexity, but just needs a little time. Best from 2018 through 2024. 9,000 cases made." – BS (Jul 31, 2017)

91 Points - Antonio Galloni:
"Green-tinged straw. Vibrant, mineral-accented citrus and orchard fruit aromas are joined by a suave jasmine nuance as the wine stretches out. Lively orange, pear skin and nectarine flavors show very good depth as well as energy, courtesy of a firm spine of zesty minerality. The floral element repeats on a bright, sharply focused finish that leaves a dusty, minerally note behind."

Blackberry liqueur, blueberries, hints of black currants and dried herbs intertwine into one harmonious wine. The silky texture, fresh acidity and long lingering finish leave a staining impression across the palate. This is a beautiful showing of Cabernet Sauvignon in a truly magnificent vintage

Tasting Notes:
Rich and supple, our 2013 Petit Bâtard is a beautiful reflection of a premier Napa Valley vintage. Deep purple hues set the stage for layers of blueberry, cranberry, and bing cherry on the nose. On the palate smooth tannins give way to notes of sweet tea, clove and black licorice. Well balanced acid and bright fruit ensure that this will be a wine to be enjoyed for many years to come!
