92 Points - Antonio Galloni's Vinous Media:

Pale straw. Potent aromas of pink grapefruit, lime zest, white flowers and ginger show excellent lift and clarity. Lively and sharply focused on the palate, offering concentrated, mineral-driven citrus and orchard fruit flavors and a late note of honeysuckle. The finish echoes the floral and citrus fruit notes strongly and clings with outstanding tenacity. This vibrant, minerally wine was fermented in vats called lagars that were literally carved into the granite on the estate some time in the 12th century, most likely not by the owner or anybody in his family. 2018-2023” - Josh Raynolds (Jan 2016)

Appearance: A bright greenish yellow colour with golden highlights.

Nose: A uniquely fruity aroma where the variety is clearly appreciated, highlighting hints of ripe apples, apricots, and peach aromas.

Palate: In the mouth, it is rich, mellow and well-balanced. The aftertaste is fully rounded and off dry on the palate with juicy fruit flavours, clean acidity and a long, mineral-dominated finish.

90 Points - Stephen Tanzer (2013 Vintage):
"Bright straw. Lively, precise scents of fresh citrus and orchard fruits, along with suggestions of quinine and chalky minerals. Taut and nervy, with bitter lime pith and honeysuckle flavors putting on weight with air. Finishes dry and nervy, with lingering floral character." - Josh Raynolds (September 2014)

Wine Spectator (2013 Vintage):
"Lean and crisp, this lively white shows grapefruit, brine and quinine flavors, with vibrant acidity and a light spritz. Pure and racy. Drink now. 7,500 cases made." – TM (Web Only - 2015)

Wine Enthusiast (2013 Vintage):
"Stalky, flat scents vie for attention with brighter citrus aromas on a bland nose. This Txakoli feels round but not too lively. Flavors of lettuce, green bean, green apple and tangerine finish with a hint of lime." — Michael Schachner (4/1/2015)

92 Points - Steven Tanzer's International Wine Cellar:
"(90% riesling and 10% albarino, partially fermented in ancient stone pits, called lagars, and the rest in stainless steel, then moved into large steel vats for another three months): Light yellow. High-pitched aromas of lemon pith, quince and jasmine, plus a touch of chalky minerality. Dry and nervy on the palate, with very good clarity to its lively citrus and orchard fruit flavors. The dry, tightly wound finish echoes the citrus and mineral notes and lingers with impressive tenacity." -Josh Reynolds (Sep/Oct 2013)

"This big white is round and polished, with good weight and solid acidity behind the pear, blanched almond and white tea flavors. Ginger and briny notes give this a savory character. A muscular style. Drink now through 2022. 3,000 cases imported." -TM (Sep 2017)

Keenan's Summer Blend is a white wine composed primarily of Chardonnay. As with past vintages a portion of Viognier has been added to our Chardonnay. Viognier is a light-bodied Rhone varietal that has an intense, fruity bouquet showing ripe melon, peaches and floral aromas. In addition the 2014 Summer Blend contains a small amount of Albarino, a white grape that began being cultivated in the US in the mid 90's. The Albarino and Viognier supply an array of fruit characters to the nose of the finished blend, while the Chardonnay supplies structure and additional aromatics.
The lighter body of the blend prompts us to add "Summer Blend" to the label. This is a great wine to enjoy on a warm summer evening. Aromas of ripe peach, lemon zest, and pineapple augment the concentrated floral nuances. This is a medium bodied wine with crisp acidity and mouth filling flavors. Just a hint of toasty oak shows up on the finish.
