90 Points - Robert Parker's Wine Advocate:
"The 2005 Summa Varietalis is composed of 60% Syrah, 25% Cabernet Sauvignon, and 15% Petit Verdot aged in seasoned French barriques for 10-14 months (with each variety vinified separately). It offers up a pleasing perfume of wood smoke, game, licorice, espresso, blueberry, and blackberry leading to a medium to full-bodied wine with outstanding volume, enough structure to evolve for 2-3 years, and layered, savory flavors. It will offer prime drinking from 2013 to 2020, perhaps longer." -Jay Miller (Jun 2011)

Made from 30 year old vine Tempranillo (100%).

This pretty little red has a flavor reminiscent of good Cotes du Rhone. Medium bodied, flavorful; hints of raspberry and strawberry. Shows best with picnic fare and grilled meats. Perfect summer red.

91 Points - Stephen Tanzer's International Wine Cellar (2010 vintage):
"Glass-staining ruby. Explosive, seductively perfumed aromas of candied red and dark berries, incense, rose pastille and Asian spices. Sappy, penetrating black raspberry and blueberry flavors show excellent depth and clarity, with smoky mineral and star anise nuances gaining strength with air. Closes sweet and very long, with lingering spiciness and gentle tannins. Importer Jorge Ordonez told me that lots of high-end oak is used here, from the likes of Taransaud, Darnajou and Dominique Laurent, for example." - Josh Raynolds (Sep '12)

93 Points - Antonio Galloni's Vinous Media:
Inky ruby. An exotically perfumed bouquet evokes fresh black and blue fruits, incense, potpourri and five-spice powder. Stains the palate with intense boysenberry and cherry compote flavors, given spine and lift by a zesty mineral nuance. Densely packed yet lithe, finishing with outstanding thrust and smooth tannins that build slowly. -- Josh Raynolds

92 Points - Stephen Tanzer's International Wine Cellar:
"(aged for 22 months in new French oak barrels): Bright purple. Heady, expansive aromas of ripe black and blue fruits, incense and vanilla, with a sexy floral nuance building in the glass. Stains the palate with sweet boysenberry and violet pastille flavors, showing outstanding depth, vibrancy and juicy acidity. The lingering finish is shaped by supple, slow-building tannins, displaying excellent tenacity and repeating floral character. Made from Monastrell vines planted in 1925." - Josh Raynolds (Jan 2016)
