99 Points - James Suckling:
"Wonderful aromas of roses and sliced plums with wet earth and truffles. Then turns to raspberries and blackberries. Cherries, too. Full and firm with super integrated tannins that melt into the wine. It flows from the center palate in a beautiful sheet of fruit and tannins. Extremely long and coated with great finesse. Goes on for minutes. Better in 2022, but already a joy to taste." - (25 Aug, 2019)

93 Points - Robert Parker's Wine Advocate:
"The 2014 Brunello di Montalcino definitely shows the more accessible and easy-drinking side of this celebrated Sangiovese-based appellation in southern Tuscany. The wine offers all the prerequisite Brunello characteristics of wild berry and tobacco with pressed violets and fresh potting soil. However, those characteristics are presented at a notch or two of decreased intensity. This is quality common to the great majority of Brunellos I tasted from the 2014 vintage. I recommend this wine to lovers of Brunello looking for a wine to drink within the next ten years. Some 15,037 bottles were made." - Monica Larner (31st Jan 2019)

About the Wine:
The non vintage, lot 1/18, Cerbaiona Rosso VDT is a 100% Sangiovese. It is a blend of wines predominately from the 2015 vintage (70%) and in smaller part from 2013 (30%). 15.000 bottles were produced. The appellation laws state, with obvious reason, that the blending of more than 17% of a wine from another vintage requires that the blended wine no longer carry a vintage on the label and be classified only as VDT (vino da tavola). The lot number, in this case, indicates that the wine was bottled in January 2018.

Love the nose on this with blackberries, sweet tobacco, blueberries. Full body, with soft and silky tannins and a light jammy finish. Lots of dark fruits. Long finish. Loads going on in this one. Give it three to five years. Or more.

98 Points - James Suckling:
"This opens with savory, truffle and meaty aromas with a complex and quite cryptic nose that delivers a wealth of ripe plums and cherries, cedar and fresh, violet-like flowers, as well as some earthy nuances. The palate has a very sturdy, intense and power-charged core of rich plums and dark cherries, framed in quite fierce tannins that are so long. Super Brunello Riserva here with great potential. Try from 2022." - (February 21, 2019)

92 Points - Robert Parker's Wine Advocate:
"The 2010 Brunello di Montalcino Riserva is a bold and tightly layered wine that delivers an impressive performance. The bouquet is firmly stitched together and seamless although it also shows a powerful rush of red cherry, blackberry, spice, tar, cola and grilled herbs. There is a modern touch of cinnamon and toasted espresso bean that gives the wine an added sense of depth and lasting importance. In the mouth, this Riserva reveals tight structure and tangy acidity. " - Monica Larner (Mar 2016)
