90 Points - Robert Parker's Wine Advocate:
"With the highly respected Right Bank consultant Stephane Derenoncourt providing advice, Prieure-Lichine has moved to a complete, savory, and for lack of a better description, broad, lush, sexy style. This has always been a wine that was drinkable at an early age, but I think they are building more texture and flesh into the wine, as well as more concentration, without losing the estate’s early appeal. The 2006 is an outstanding wine, with complex notes of spring flowers, forest floor, sweet black currants, and earth. Medium to full-bodied, flavorful, without a trace of astringency or hardness, this is a succulent, fleshy wine to drink over the next 15 or more years." - Robert Parker (2/2009)

93 Points - Wine Spectator Magazine:
"This is distinctive, with a roasted alder streak running through an enticing core of crushed plum, blackberry and black currant confiture flavors. Long and velvety on the finish, with bay, tobacco and black tea accents checking in. This is suave, with fruit and terroir in spades, particularly for the vintage. Best from 2017 through 2025. 7,500 cases made." Ð JM (Mar 31, 2015)

"Bright and lively up front, with tangy damson plum, cassis and linzer torte flavors that drive along, while darker mulled spice, tar and Black Forest cake notes fill in behind. Tangy tobacco and iron accents hang nicely on the finish. Drink now through 2018. 9,165 cases made." - JM (Web Only 2012)

94 Points - Robert Parker's Wine Advocate:
"The 2009, which is inky blue/purple to the rim, is a final blend of 48% Cabernet Sauvignon, 48% Merlot and 4% Petit Verdot at 14% natural alcohol. The wine has a beautiful blueberry-scented nose with hints of acacia flowers, licorice, graphite and some subtle charcoal and background oak. Clearly a modern style of Margaux, it is pure, seamless, full-bodied and opulent, and the high glycerin and silky texture of 2009 are brilliantly displayed in this wine. Drink it over the next 15+ years, although it is certainly capable of lasting well past two decades." - Robert Parker (Dec 2011)

93 Points - Wine Enthusiast Magazine:
"This is a strict, dense wine that shouts Cabernet Sauvignon. Concentrated and firm, it has a powerful core of tannins as well as delicious black currant flavors. The wine is likely to need some aging." - Roger Voss (Apr 2016)

92 Points - Antonio Galloni:

"The 2015 Les Griffons de Pichon Baron is dense, powerful and quite juicy, with plenty of black cherry, menthol, licorice and smoke overtones nuances that all build in the glass. Polished and racy to the core, the 2015 is a terrific choice for drinking over the next decade or so." (Feb 2018)
