95 Points & Cellar Selection - Wine Enthusiast Magazine:
"This is a gorgeously ripe, opulent wine that shows a rich fruit-salad ripeness, as well as darker notes of botrytis. The wine is full and very ripe with flavors of honey, fennel and lemon, with sweetness balanced by acidity. This is a wine that could be drunk soon but will age magnificently. Drink from 2016." - Roger Voss (2/1/2014)

98 Points Rank #66 Top 100 Wines of 2017 - James Suckling:
"A stunning wine for this vintage although it’s still a bit shy on the nose (more spice than fruit showing than now). There’s wet earth, too, but on the palate it’s bursting with ripe yet subtle flavors. Very long and complex finish that goes on and on." - (Feb 2017)

96 Points & #16 of Top 100 of 2016 - Wine Spectator Magazine:
"Unctuous and ripe, showing mouthfilling flavors of almond cream, ginger, heather honey and apricot, this will need time to unwind fully, but when it does, expect more pineapple, maple and singed orange notes, as this has some depth and power in reserve, as well as more than enough cut for balance. A beauty in the making. Best from 2018 through 2038. 2,833 cases made." - JM (Mar 31, 2016)

92+ Points - Robert Parker's Wine Advocate:
"The 1990 Chateau Gilette Creme de Tete is the latest release from the Medeville family. It has a curious bouquet that is minty and full of dried white flowers, but it feels contained at the moment, the aromas demanding more time in bottle to coalesce. The palate is fresh on the entry with subtle hints of nougat, quince, walnut, almond and white fennel toward the finish. Having subsequently tasted much older vintages, I can see how this is still a nascent Gilette that will benefit from another ten years in bottle, although the 1989 seems to have a little more finesse. Drink 2022-2040. Tasted March 2014." - Neal Martin (Jun 2014)

92-94 Points - Wine Enthusiast Magazine:
"Herbaceous style of wine, a Bordeaux white wine classic style, with crisp grassy Sauvignon Blanc flavors, elegant, not heavy." - Roger Voss (6/25/2011)

92 Points - James Suckling:
"Mandarin, sliced apple and ripe lemon. Some Japanese pear and charming notes of snowdrops. Wonderful attack on the palate with a full body, ripe juicy acidity and lots of wood in this sumptuous white that still needs to integrate. Try in 2015." - (February 18th, 2013)

95 Points - Wine Enthusiast:
One of the finest wines to come from Cantenac Brown for many years, this is powerful and dense, dominated by Cabernet Franc tannins and fruits. The structure has a smooth, polished character that locates it firmly in Margaux, giving elegance and discreet fruitiness. Age this fine wine for many years." - Roger Voss (2/1/2013)

94 Points - Robert Parker's Wine Advocate:
“One of the best Talbots over recent years, and possibly the best since the 1986 and 1982, this sexy juggernaut of a wine struts forth with an opaque plum/ruby/purple color and terrific notes of creme de cassis, licorice, roasted herbs and smoky barbecue. It is a brilliant effort, with full body, wonderful fruit, a savory, expansive mouthfeel, sensational texture and a long finish, but no hardness or astringency. This is a fabulous Talbot to drink over the next 20-25 years.” - Robert M. Parker, Jr. (Feb 2013)
