95 Points - Wine Spectator:
"This cuts more of a broad swath than its peers, yet remains graceful, evoking strawberry, cherry, tobacco and stony mineral flavors. Long and dense in structure, with a tobacco- and underbrush-tinged finish. Best from 2021 through 2033."

93 Points - James Suckling:
"The caramel and ripe fruit are impressive with some grilled meat too. Full body, firm and silky. A tight and exciting wine for the future. Drink in 2020."

93+ Points - Robert Parker's Wine Advocate:
"This is a terrific new release from Canalicchio di Sopra that arrived just as we were going to print. The 2016 Rosso di Montalcino opens to an extraordinary nose that is tart and sweet, fruity and spicy all at once. The wine is so full and generous, it almost comes out of left field. I guarantee that you would not recognize it as a Rosso in a blind tasting. The mouthfeel is tight, compact and slightly sour or bitter, but the energy generated from all the volume on the bouquet is enough to win your heart and mind. This is one of the best Rossos I have ever tried. It's a super deal (some 22,300 were made) so grab a bottle before it disappears." - Monica Larner (28th Feb 2018)

93 Points - James Suckling:
"What a delicious nose of brambleberries, vanilla, mocha-scented oak, spice box, plum liqueur, licorice and milk chocolate. Full-bodied and rich with plenty of dense fruit and fresh acidity that carries this to a long finish. Almost verges on too much but pulls back. Drink now or hold. "

91 Points - Wine Enthusiast:
Aromas of ripe black-skinned fruit and exotic spice are front and center on this delicious red. On the fresh palate, tightly knit, polished tannins carry mouthwatering black cherry, blackberry compote, mocha and cinnamon. Enjoy through 2024.

"Fabulous aromas of oranges, peaches and mahogany follow through to a full body with rich, chewy tannins and a long, flavorful finish. This is dense, tight, powerful, compressed and incredibly structured. Needs four to five years of bottle age to come out of its dormancy." - (January 19th, 2015)

92 Points - Antonio Galloni's Vinous:
"The 2012 Carmignano Villa di Capezzana is soft, radiant and open-knit, all of which give considerable appeal today. There is good brightness and intensity to the fruit, along with lovely aromatic top notes of cedar, smoke, licorice and tobacco. Given its mid-weight structure, the 2012 is likely to offer its best drinking sooner rather than later. There is no reason to delay gratification in this impeccable, beautifully crafted Vino Nobile from Capezzana." - Antonio Galloni (October 2016)

92 Points - Robert Parker's Wine Advocate:
"From the Castelnuovo Berardenga area of Chianti Classico where temperatures are always two or three degrees higher on average, the 2010 Chianti Classico Riserva sees fruit sourced form the estate’s Montebello vineyard n.7, one of the estate’s prized parcels. This vineyard-designate, 100% Sangiovese shows delicate layers of red berry, dried raspberry and soft layers of moist earth and tobacco. The elegance and finesse is stunning, as there’s nothing heavy or out of place with this wine. Neither is this a light or mild wine. It delivers plenty of power and personality both in terms of the quality of the fruit and the long freshness it leaves in the mouth. Anticipated maturity: 2013-2020.” - Monica Larner (Aug 2013)
