Notes from the Winemaker:

A white gold chardonnay with delicate green hues. Tropical aromas unfold: white flowers, nectarine, passion fruit, and a touch of grilled pineapple. The palate reveals citrus tones of grapefruit, lemon grass and delicate lemon peel confit on the finish, complementing the vibrant aromatic profile. Texturally silky, with a well-integrated, lively acidity.

Vintage:
The wines of the 2015 vintage show elegance, medium body, delicacy and low alcohol content; they exhibit vivacious and expressive fruit with balanced acidity. This year the expression of each zone and variety stands out, showing the unique characteristics of each terroir with great aromatic richness.

Ratings & Reviews

90 Points & Highly Recommended & #81 of Top 100 of 2016 - Wine Spectator Magazine:
"A richly spiced white, with focused, well-structured flavors of dried apple, ripe citrus and guava. Brioche notes show on the firm finish. Drink now through 2019. 4,500 cases imported." — KM (Oct 31, 2016)

90 Points - Wine Enthusiast Magazine:
"Crafted in a New World way, this displays toasty, creamy oak and baked apple aromas. The palate is healthy and bold, while flavors of popcorn, white bread, butter, honeydew and banana maintain freshness and clarity across the finish." - Michael Schachner (10/1/2016)

Antonio Galloni's Vinous Media:
"Bright yellow. Stone fruits, spices and smoky oak on the nose. Fat, full and sweet; a very rich, broad, ripe style of Chardonnay with yellow stone fruit and tropical fruits flavors dominating. A bit more exotic than the 2014 version, but finishes with slightly edgy acidity." - Stephen Tanzer (March 2016)
