Tasting Notes/Food Pairing:
Deep ruby color with bluish hues. Intense and complex nose where the typical aromas of each variety are nicely combined to show their best expression: black plums coming from Malbec, fresh cherries and Black Currant from Cabernet Sauvignon, ripe black fruits from the Tannat, slightly mixed with spicy notes from Petit Verdot. Juicy, it expands and intensifies in the mouth, gaining density and complexity as it is savoured. Finishes with smooth, lush tannins and good length. Great with medium spiced twice cooked pork. BBQ chicken, grilled sausage, smoked cheeses.

Wine Enthusiast Magazine (2016 Vintage):
"Aromas of wild berry, violet and a hint of oak-driven spice carry over to the bright palate along with tart red cherry and star anise. An orange-zest note backs up the finish while fresh acidity and polished tannins provide balance. Drink through 2020." - Kerin O’Keefe (10/1/2018)

Torres "Celeste" Crianza Ribera del Duero DO 2015 (Ribera del Duero, Spain)

Retail Price: $25.00

CASE PRICE = $.99 per bottle (add 12+ quantity to your basket)
Notes From the Winemaker:

Celeste is an opulent wine brimming with fruit, body and colour: as unique as the night sky in the Ribera del Duero.

Origin:
At 895 metres altitude you can almost touch the stars and shape the clouds. The dusk air is intense with fragrance. And the sun lights up the land in all its splendour. Here, at a height of 895 metres, Celeste is born, the Torres family’s first Ribera del Duero.

Tasting Notes:
Dark cherry red with garnet highlights. Intense dark fruit aroma (wild blackberries, blueberry jam) with smoky and roasted (coffee) notes against a wonderfully elegant oaky backdrop. A serious wine with juicy tannins, velvety and round thanks to the perfume of oak aging (dried plums).

Serving suggestions:

Serve between 16-17 ºC. Owing to its fruity and tannic characteristics, this wine pairs well with a great variety of meat dishes including roasts and small game.

93 Points - Robert Parker's Wine Advocate:
"The 2014 Brunello di Montalcino definitely shows the more accessible and easy-drinking side of this celebrated Sangiovese-based appellation in southern Tuscany. The wine offers all the prerequisite Brunello characteristics of wild berry and tobacco with pressed violets and fresh potting soil. However, those characteristics are presented at a notch or two of decreased intensity. This is quality common to the great majority of Brunellos I tasted from the 2014 vintage. I recommend this wine to lovers of Brunello looking for a wine to drink within the next ten years. Some 15,037 bottles were made." - Monica Larner (31st Jan 2019)
