Notes from the Winemaker:
On the eye: A pale apricot color shot through with bright glints, and alive with fine and constant bubbles.

On the nose: Pronounced, fragrant aromas of white flowers and wild strawberry.

On the palate: A wonderfully fresh and lively wine with a long, lingering finish.

True to the free, bohemian spirit of Maison Perrier-Jouët, Perrier-Jouët Belle Epoque Rosé is a resolutely original champagne which combines rarity with the ability to surprise. Crafted only in exceptional years and produced in limited quantities, it typically blends Pinot Noir from Ay, Mailly, Verzy and Rilly with Chardonnay from the finest terroirs in Cramant, Avize and Le Mesnil. The richness of Pinot Noir is complemented by the floral elegance of Chardonnay, which provides the touch of finesse characteristic of Maison Perrier- Jouët. Finally, Pinot Meunier grapes from Dizy contribute their rounded, aromatic character.

Ratings & Reviews

94 Points - Wine Enthusiast Magazine:
"In its Belle Époque flower bottle, this is a very recognizable Champagne. The wine itself is beautifully balanced, hinting at red fruits and showing poised acidity. Still young and full of great fruit it will certainly age well. Drink ideally from 2021. Roger Voss" - (12/1/2019)

92 Points - Wine Spectator Magazine:
"Toasty and well-balanced, this offers flavors of white cherry, candied Meyer lemon peel, anise and smoke, as well as a pleasing juiciness and a soft and creamy texture throughout. Drink now through 2024. Tasted twice, with consistent notes. 2,000 cases imported." - AN (Issue Web Only - 2019)

91 Points - Robert Parker's Wine Advocate:
"The 2010 Brut Rosé Belle Epoque bursts from the glass with a rich bouquet of peaches, strawberries, warm biscuits, smoky red berries and ginger. On the palate, it's medium to full-bodied, broad and fleshy, with a generous core of fruit that's tempered by some delicate phenolics and underpinned by ripe acids. This is a charming, nicely balanced Rosé Belle Epoque." - William Kelley (30th Apr 2019)
