About the Producer:
Winemaker since 1982, I managed the family estate Doquet Jeanmaire from 1995 to 2003, both in terms of the management of the vine and the development of cuvées.
More and more precise and biological work was then set up in the vineyard, aiming at the most complete expression of the different soils occupied by the plot.
Totally independent since 2004, after the purchase of the shares of the family company held by my sisters, I can deepen without constraint my will of experimentation and research of the most healthy and respectful cultivation methods of the soil and the consumer.
Since 2004, I market under the brand Pascal Doquet Mesnil Grand Cru vintages that I vinified according to my personal choices before the separation, as well as the cuvées developed since that same year from a vineyard in evolution towards organic viticulture. (Winter 2017) NV

Ratings & Reviews

92 Points - Antonio Galloni:
"The NV Blanc de Blancs Premier Cru Arpège is a gorgeous, sculpted Champagne built on precision. Crushed rocks, slate, green pears and citrus jump from the glass as this vibrant Champagne shows off its tense, pulsating personality. This is a gorgeous Champagne from Pascal Doquet." (Nov 2014)

91 Points - Robert Parker's Wine Advocate:
"The NV Blanc de Blancs Premier Cru Arpège is an unfiltered Chardonnay blend of the 2010 vintage (53%) and the 2001 vintage (47%) that was bottled in May 2013 and disgorged in October 2017 as Extra Brut. The grapes are sourced in Vertus and Villeneuve. The intensely yellow colored Côte des Blancs offers a clear, fresh and characteristic bouquet with bright fruit and citrus aromas along with lovely pure chalky/mineral notes. Stimulatingly pure, fresh and mineral on the palate, this blend reveals nice grip and bright, elegant fruit along with remarkable purity, elegance and lots of character. Tasted April 2018." - Stephan Reinhardt (Aug 2018)

90 Points - Wine Spectator Magazine:
"Spice, coconut and floral notes are exotic accents to the lemon curd, guava and crushed hazelnut flavors of this fresh, open-knit Champagne, which offers a minerally underpinning and a lively bead. Disgorged February 2014. Drink now through 2018." - AN (Web Only - 2015)
