Notes from the Winemaker:
This vintage has all the stuff that makes GS, "GS". A bit richer and fuller than the White Hill. A silkier texture and warmer tones all around. Its more Summer/Fall than it is Winter/Spring (like the White Hill). We can't wait to see how this wine continues to develop over the months and years in bottle!

subtle aromas of raw honey, beeswax, baked sourdough and white flowers. The palate gives flavors of quince, tangelo, and creme fraiche with subtle hints of nutmeg and cardamom. A very long, lingering finish with flavors of marzipan and green pineapple that leaves your mouth-popping and (at least for us!) craving another sip.

Ratings & Reviews
94 Points - Antonio Galloni's Vinous:
"The 2014 Chardonnay Golden Slope is one of the richer, creamier wines in the range. Orange blossom, crème brulee, apricot jam and buttery notes are fused together. The Golden Slope will appeal most to readers who like more overt, flamboyant Chardonnays. Today, it is absolutely striking." - Antonio Galloni (Sep 2016)

93 Points - Robert Parker's Wine Advocate:
"More fresh and lively, with a tad more precision and cut than the Chardonnay Four, the 2014 Chardonnay Golden Slope offers classy notes of citrus blossom, white flowers, salt block and hints of minerality. Medium to full-bodied, pure, elegant and balanced, it spent 15 months in 15% new French oak before bottling. It, too, should cruise for at least 5-6 years." - Jeb Dunnuck (30th Aug 2016)

92 Points - Wine Enthusiast Magazine:
"Light Marcona almonds, lemon curd on toast and Gravenstein apples converge for a delicate yet warmer style of Chard on this easy-to-quaff combo of seven top vineyards, including Bentrock, Rita's Crown, Clos Peper, Kessler-Haak, La Rinconada, Zotovich, and Hilliard Bruce. Buttered brioche, a drizzle of lemon oil and a touch of crushed walnuts and almonds arise on the palate." - Matt Kettmann (12/1/2016)
