Notes from the Winemaker:

Absolute. In other words, no limits, a constantly evolving value. Like the exclusive commitment needed to make this Franciacorta dedicated to Annamaria Clementi, founder of Ca' del Bosco and Maurizio Zanella's mother. No compromises, no concessions. Only the finest grapes from the various crus are earmarked for this icon wine. And only in the finest years. Meticulous vinification and very lengthy bottle refinement at least seven years on yeasts. This is how a great wine is created, unique, magnificently golden and with ultra-fine perlage. Extraordinarily complex bouquet, exceptionally full and persistent taste. An absolute Franciacorta.

Ratings & Reviews

95 Points - James Suckling:
"Aromas of soft cheese, bread dough, apple pie and lemon rind. Full body, with a vibrant backbone of acidity and bright fruit. Firm and very tight. A solid and structured sparkling wine. Complex and layered. Drink or hold." - (November 24th, 2014)

94 Points - Robert Parker's Wine Advocate:
"A masterpiece rendition from a warmer vintage, the 2005 Franciacorta Cuvee Annamaria Clementi Riserva is a carefully contemplated blend of 55% Chardonnay, 25% Pinot Bianco and 20% Pinot Nero. Only made in the best vintages, it is the estate’s flagship wine. This beautiful sparkler puts forth a complex bouquet of sourdough, exotic spice, crushed white flowers, candied lemon and Golden Delicious apple. I just love this sparkler. What sets this wine apart is its enormous length. Sensations of fleshy fruit and acidic freshness last many long minutes. This bottle was disgorged in the summer of 2013. Drink: 2014-2019." - Monica Larner (Dec 2013)

94 Points - Wine Enthusiast Magazine:
"This fragrant sparkler boasts layers of alluring aromas including bread crust, white spring flowers, cake spices, grapefruit and alpine herbs. The palate doles out succulent yellow peach, toasted almond, white pear and a hint of saline. Vibrant acidity and an elegant, lively mousse brighten the creamy flavors. It’s delicious now but shows aging potential. Drink through 2020." - Kerin O’Keefe (12/1/2014)

91 Points - Wine Specatator Magazine:

"Vibrant and well-meshed, this is elegant overall, with a hint of salinity underscoring the patisserie apple and pear fruit, toasted hazelnut and lemon parfait flavors. The lacy texture shows on the subtle and lightly spiced finish. Disgorged spring 2014. Drink now through 2024. 100 cases imported." – AN (Dec 31, 2014)
